1. Statutory 14-Day Withdrawal Right (General Rule)

For online purchases, consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date physical possession of the items is received.

This right applies strictly to non-food merchandise (e.g., kitchenware, teapots, serving trays, incense burners) provided items are returned unused in original packaging.

2. Statutory Exemption: Food & Perishable Goods

According to Chapter 2, Section 11 of the Swedish Distance Contracts Act, the right of withdrawal does NOT apply to contracts concerning:

Item 4 – Goods subject to rapid deterioration

"Goods that can deteriorate quickly or have a short expiration date."
Covers fresh groceries, dairy, pastries, dates, bread, and foods with limited shelf life.

Item 5 – Unsealed hygiene & health goods

"Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed by the consumer."
Covers opened jars of spices, olive oils, tahini, canned products, and dry pantry staples once the seal is broken.

By completing checkout, you acknowledge that food products and opened consumables are non-returnable under these statutory exceptions.

3. How to Exercise Withdrawal (Non-Food Goods)

  1. Send written notice within 14 days of delivery to order@siwar.se with your order number and the product you wish to return.
  2. You may also utilize the standard withdrawal template provided by Konsumentverket (Swedish Consumer Agency).
  3. Ship the goods back within 14 days of your notification. In accordance with law, return shipping costs are paid by the consumer.

4. Refunds

Upon inspecting eligible non-food returns, refunds are issued within 14 days to the original payment method used during checkout.
